FAQ's

How do I place an order?

Orders can be accepted by our online order form or by telephone. Online orders will be confirmed by telephone or email. When placing an order please note that one weeks notice may be required to be certain of delivery.

Does an initial order commit me to future orders?

Some customers may need to trial several different sizes/combinations to find the one that is most suitable for them.
When you have placed your order with us you will need to give one weeks notice to cancel your order.
You have no commitment beyond this other than to pay for all the produce you have received.

Is there a minimum order?

The minimum order value is £8.50 and this must include a vegetable box unfortunately at this time we do not deliver fruit bags on there own.

Can I order individual items?

Unfortunately we are currently unable to supply individual amount of fruit and vegetables. However we do always ask you to let us know if there are any items you do not wish to receive and will substitute these items for something else.

Also if you require extra additional seasonal items these can be included on your box but are chargeable.

I grow my own fruit and vegetables can you adjust my box to work around this?

Yes we can. Just let us know when you are harvesting a particular crop and when you wish to resume receiving it and we can substitute the item for this time.

Can I receive an order only through the winter months?

Yes of course. We have many customers that grow their own vegetables and don’t require a box in the summer months when they have their own produce. If you let us know when you do not require a box and we can start your order again on an agreed date or when you are ready.

How do I know what will be in my box?

Every Sunday evening we update our website to show you a list of items selected for your box for the week. Please not this list is subject to availability and may change.

How do I know that what you are supplying is organic?

We are certificated each year by the Organic Farmers and Growers (OF&G) who insist that we show them traceability for all of our products from seed to vegetable please see our certification section to view our recent certificate.

What if I don’t know how to cook an item in my box?

We feature some recipes on our website for most of the items we deliver to you throughout the season. If you need something in particular or would like general advice please email us at oggvalleyorganic@btconnect.com and we will try and send you through some ideas.

I have received an item that went off quickly what will you do?

Occasionally we send produce that we think is ok but it ripens too fast or when cut open there is a problem with it. In this instance we would like to know as soon as possible. We will offer to send you a replacement item in your next box by way of an apology for our mistake.
We really appreciate hearing of any problems that you experience as only by knowing are we able to improve the service that we offer.

We have visitors coming can I increase the size of my box?

Yes of course you can. We appreciate one weeks notice so please contact the office on 05601 159971 as soon as you can and we will be happy to help and advise.

What if I am going away and want to suspend my delivery?

To cancel your order at any time please contact us by telephone on o5601 159971 or email us at oggvalleyorganic@btconnect.com giving one weeks notice. We confirm any instruction we receive by telephone so if for some reason you do not here from us a follow up call may be a good idea.

When will I get my box?

Your delivery day will depend on your address. We deliver to different areas on different days. Please contacts us on 05601 159971 or oggvalleyorganic@btconnect.com with your post code and we will be able to confirm your areas delivery day. Unfortunately we are unable to specify a time of delivery due to the amount of orders we deliver.

What if I am not in when you deliver?

When ordering your box we will ask you if there is an alternative place that you would like your box to be left e.g. With a neighbour, in a garage or porch etc (please also leave payment in this location). We will let our delivery person know your requirements.

Will you deliver to my work?

Yes we will be happy to deliver to your workplace providing that there is someone there at the time of delivery or there is somewhere it can be left.

How do I pay for my box?

Payment for your delivery is required weekly on receipt of your box. After one month the option maybe available to change your payment to a four weekly standing order.
