Sage & apple toasties

Serves 4

• 4 thick slices of wholemeal bread
• ½ oz (15g) butter softened
• 1 small red skinned dessert apple- thinly sliced
• ½ tsp rubbed sage
• 5oz (125g) mature chedder cheese-grated

Toast the bread lightly on both sides.

Spread with butter. Top with the sliced apples a good sprinkling of SAGE and the grated cheese. Grill gently until golden.
